Our Junior Secondary School curriculum is a 3-year programme (JSS1 – JSS3) that represents a break away from the British year-based model and is part of the Secondary School Programme. One of the key entry requirement to our Junior Secondary School is successful completion of 6-years of Primary School Education.
After the 3rd year of JSS programme, students sit for the Junior Secondary School Examination (Junior WAEC?) which leads to a Junior School Leaving Certificate. Passing grades on this examination are required to continue on to senior secondary school.
Across all Junior Secondary School classes, we aim to ensure that all our students have the chance to become;
- successful learners who enjoy learning, make progress and achieve;
- confident individuals who are able to live safe and healthy lives;
- responsible citizens who make a positive contribution to society.
To help our students achieve this, we have based our curriculum around the following core areas – these are consistent with the national curriculum set by the accreditation body.
- Advanced Arithmetics
- Arts, Languages & History
- Sciences
- Business Studies & Macro Economics
